smoky lash

hey everyone,

i have been meaning to post about a mascara that i rcv'd from my cyberspace buddy felicia from http://thisthatbeauty.blogspot.com/. its called smoky lash and its by make up for ever. the mascara is pretty nice! it gives you a curl while lengthening and it adds volume your lashes. i have taken pictures twice with this mascara on, once with my cellphone camera which kinda sucked and the other with my digital camera which came out just ok. so here are the shots i took and please check out felicia's blog....she does amazing give-a-ways. happy new year people!

next photoshoot

well everyone i did another photoshoot last week and it turned out great. i met deborah lake which is a wonderful make-up artist! she has been in the game for about 20 years now doing her thing. you can look her up on model mayhem or on myspace. so i hope to get some more pictures from this shoot but here is one with models nichole, valerie and jianni(i think i spelled her name right). these ladies were amazing to work with! i did valerie's(center) face for this photo.

hey all,

wednesday evening my mother and i went to see ledisi (lad-e-see) in concert and gotdamn she was amazing!!! this girl has a beautiful voice and its such a lovely thing to hear her cd and then to hear her live....cuz she is off the hook. she has been around since 2000 and she struggled to make it where she is today. the concert was held here in l.a. at the historical el rey theater. the venue was so pretty and elegant. i like to hear artist speak truthful words in there messages whether it be thru song or just plain ole talk! she spoke to the whole audience as if she was speaking to a brunch of friends. she spoke on life in general and how people cant go around blaming others for how unhappy people are and things of the kind. the concert was very intimiate and just plain ole fun! she has a christmas cd out titled it's christmas, which she sang some of her songs and if you like christmas like i do than you will be happy to know that the cd is very nice. she does some interesting things with her voice that only a couple other singers and artists have done. i was very impressed! so if you get the chance to hear her out, she sings a song called "in the morning" and "it's alright". her album is titled lost and found and i promise you, you wont be dissappointed.

shoot'em up honey.....

sunday morning i woke up with a text message from my friend aghabi asking if i wanted to go to knotts berry farm or to the shooting range. i had some thinking to do------> not really.....shooting range hands down! lol so i got up and dressed and i headed off! we went to burro canyon shooting park in azusa, ca and had so much fun! we went with her friend alan and his friend jason who had high power stuff....stuff i aint never heard of before. they brought along a 380 (for us) ha!, a 44 magnum, a shotgun, and they had different types of rifles but the one i remember most was the ar-15. we didnt get the chance to shoot the rifles but everything else was great by itself. i went to a gun show in glendale the weekend before and saw some pretty cool stuff but none like what i saw that they had. the ride to burro canyon was so cool. we got a chance to see the morris dam and by me living pretty close to azusa i never even knew about the beautiful scenery behind the actual city area. it was so nice! so if anyone is interested in going up to the park here is the link to the website http://www.burrocanyon.com/ and enjoy yourselves. oh yeah and dont forget to bring your own rifles, pistols and ammo!

new hair-do!

hey yall,

well my weekend was so fun i didnt really get much sleep! wednesday, i got my hair done and wanted to try something new and different so i did. i was checking out the essence magazine, the one with jada pinkett-smith on the cover (nov. or dec. 2008) the holiday looks and styles. i came across a picture of a lady with a curly mohawk/pin-up style and i loved it! so i tried it out and it came out pretty good. my stylist put a little different twist to it but it was nice. i wore it for a couple of days and took it down and i must say my hair was fly! lol here are some pictures of my new hair-do! hope you enjoy.

my super late halloween post

its been awhile since halloween but i couldnt find my sd adapter so i could upload my little halloween picks. halloween is my favorite halloween regardless to what some people may say, think or believe. its the only day that you can enjoy being whatever you want to be and to top it off you get candy!!! how lovely is that! lol so since halloween is a fave i like to go all out and dress up but this year i didnt get a chance to really do it big like i would have loved to. so this year i was going to hang out with my friends go to the haunted house, do some trick or treating and enjoy the day/nite. so all of a sudden my phone rang and someone said they had a job for me to do bartending @ a nightclub. so i got dressed, went and got my barback and headed to the club. finally arrived and then they told me they didnt need me anymore to bartend. so they paid me and i left kinda mad because i could have been doing my own halloween thing. so i went to a party that was wack.....i mean horrible! so i wore a camoflage hat and a black sun reflector under my eye and wore all black.... what the hell was i you ask.... i dont know...but i was cute lol!! so here are the little pictures i took so i hope you enjoy! bye ya much....

Mr. President

well i could not be happier! we have a fresh new start with a fresh new president and he is black! this election was one of the most followed elections in history and it became historic for us all. if you ask most people they wouldn't have thought they would be around to see this tremendous moment in our lives, in our futures and in our history. i am truly blessed to have witnessed this moment myself and i know now that you really could be anything you want to be. america needs to have an open mind and we all need to help this man out if we want change to come. the feeling is amazing for me to know that barack obama has become our president of the united states of america! i hope to go to the inauguration in january 09 and have a blast. for the people reading if you didnt help elect obama as president, you will at least give him a chance.

travelling and my new passport!

hey yall,

i applied for my passport on the 6th of october and just got it in the mail today. im excited but dont know where the hell to go! mind u i dont have a steady job now but i really want to go somewhere now more than ever. ive been online looking @ places and prices. the travelzoo.com site is awesome when it comes to travel in my eyes because they give you pretty nice deals. i cant wait to get my 1st stamp in my book! my ideal places to go would be thailand, italy, greece, london, spain, the fiji islands and some other places but those are my main ones. having my passport makes me just want to drive down to mexico and just flash it or something lol!

Being bored isn't so bad!

today i was sitting @ home and something hit me like a rock. so i went into my make-up kit and started something simple and pretty. so this was the creation that i came up with. i used so much stuff its ridiculous! lol so for this look i used on my eyes pink bronze piggie, graphology, all that glitters as my highlight, bank roll liner, rave liner, feline and boot black. eyebrows are shaded using walnut/ ivorie and stud brow pencil. lips were currant liner, that heatherette pink style minx with alittle pink bronze piggie in the middle for a highlight. my butterfly is made up of non-conformist fluidline, blacktrack as my outline, my speckles of color were piggies as well mixed w/ mixing medium and those piggies were golden olive, mutiny, copper, mauvement and pink bronze(all mac products). my face had select cover up by mac in nc50, prescriptives custom blend powder, px wine blush and warm highlight. so i hope you like my little masterpiece!!

DO YOU KNOW THE FEELING?

you wake up in the morning getting ready to start your day. you get dressed, eat your breakfast and take care of your business at home and then its off to work. once you arrive at your job, you start to do your normal day to day activities. you get good and settled and then are asked to come in for a meeting once you have finished up whatever it was that you were working on. so you have completed all of your work for that moment and then go into the meeting. while the door is wide open you see two people that you know and those two people arent the one's you are used to conducting meetings with so you sit down. no happy faces just a hi, how are you doing today? you reply in the normal most expected way, im good and you? well we have some bad news and yes here it comes! well we are eliminitating your position but we have this nice little packet for you here. so you think to yourself DAMN!! AINT THIS SOME BULLSHIT!! ASH NEEDS SOME ADVICE....

ITS BEEN SO LONG......SINCE I HAVE POSTED ANYTHING! I HAVE BEEN DOING WELL OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS. BUT I HAVE A SLIGHT DILEMMA THAT I AM TRYING TO DEALING WITH.....AND OF COURSE ITS DEALING WITH GUYS. I LIKE THIS GUY AND WE HAVE BEEN FRIENDS FOR ABOUT 2 OR 3 YRS NOW. THIS GUY AND I ARE INVOLVED IN A CASUAL FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS SITUATION BUT WE SHARE A MUTUAL FRIEND THAT LIKES ME BUT DOESN'T KNOW THAT WE HAVE HAD SOMETHING GOING ON FOR THE PAST 2 YRS. ITS NOT OFTEN THAT OUR "FWB" RELATIONS GO DOWN BUT ITS ALWAYS BEEN THERE AND I HIGHLY DOUBT ITS GOING ANYWHERE ANYTIME SOON. SO THE LAST TIME WE ALL WERE HANGING OUT THE FRIEND THAT LIKES ME WAS ALL OVER ME RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE GUY THAT I HAVE RELATIONS WITH. IT SEEMED TO BOTHER HIM AND IT MADE ME UNCOMFORTABLE BECAUSE ITS LIKE HE NEEDS TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON. I DON'T WANT TO TELL HIM AND HE GETS MAD AT MY FRIEND BECAUSE THEY ARE REALLY CLOSE BUT I WANT TO TELL HIM. I HAVE TO FIND SOME TIME TO SIT MY "FWB" DOWN AND TALK TO HIM ABOUT THE SITUATION. MY 3 LITTLE DOLLS

my little nieces ARE dolls! you know sometimes i feel like having children and then there are other times where i think why bring kids to such a f@!*ed up world but honestly who can resist the precious beauty of a child. so hopefully when the time is right for me ill be in a happier and more productive place in my life so i can fully enjoy motherhood and the essence of what it is to be a child all over again. this post is strictly to my 3 little angels: sydney, sasha and rylee. auntie loves yall!

cult of cherry and overrich piggies

you know i love mac! they come out with new and exciting things all the time. thursday cult of cherry came out and i went on saturday to get my mac fix. i went to the pro store on robertson and picked up the spiced chocolate quad. then i dipped in overrich pigments and picked up museum bronze and blonde's gold. blonde's gold is the perfect brow highlight! also, i picked up some pro lashes # 12's. im supposed to do a wedding in september and the colors are the same as the spiced chocolate quad, so i just might use these colors for the wedding.

FOR SOME REASON I LOVE GREENS! ST. PATTY'S DAY THIS YEAR AND LAST YEAR HALLOWEEN I WAS A WITCH AND I DID MY EYES IN ALL GREENS. I LOVE HOW RICH THE GREENS COME OUT LOOKING ON ME! SO MY MAIN COLORS THAT I LOVE IN THE GREEN FAMILY ARE FROM MAC (JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW I MAINLY USE ALL MAC PRODUCTS) AND THEY ARE HUMID, JUXT, OVERGROWN, CLUB, AND VELVET MOSS. I HAVE MORE GREENS BUT THEIR NAMES SLIPS MY MIND @ THIS TIME. SO TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK.

My Friday Bloggin'

hey everyone,

its friday and im home chillin with my mom and my doggies. thank GOD tomorrow is saturday! its hair day! my day was so good! i went to work and was feelin great and then around 6:20pm all the lights, computers and phones shut down. i was scared out of my mind! lol i sit so slow @ my desk most ppl cant see me they only hear me. so when the lights went out i was building an acct for one of the sales reps in arizona, then bam! all lights were out. the only light i had was a little bit of sunlight from the windows. i thought something was going on. seriously we were getting caught in something, what is was, i surely didnt know but i know something strange was crackin! lol but the phones never came back up so we left around 7:40. my friday was good, so i hope that my saturday is even better! have a safe and happy weekend yalls! love ya! OH BOY.....

HOW CRAZY THINGS ARE YOU ASK..... WELL TODAY I WENT INTO L.A. TO NOTARIZE A PAPER FOR MY BEST FRIEND AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. THEN AROUND 6 SOMETHING THIS EVENING I GET A TEXT MSG STATING THAT "MY BROTHER TOTALLED MY CAR!" SO COME TO FIND OUT MY BEST FRIEND'S LITTLE BROTHER WHO ONLY HAS HIS PERMIT WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND RAN A STOP SIGN AND RAN INTO A OLDER LADY WITH HER GRANDCHILDREN IN THE CAR. THE IMPACT WAS SO HARD THAT THEY WENT INTO A HOUSE. LUCKILY, EVERYONE WAS OK (FOR NOW BECAUSE TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY). SO NOW MY BEST FRIEND WHO WAS ORIGINALLY SAVING HER MONEY TO MOVE WILL HAVE TO BUY A NEW CAR. SOMEONE ASKED ME HOW MY DAY WAS AND I TOLD THEM FINE! EVERYDAY IS A DIFFERENT DAY.....SO EVERYONE PLEASE BE CAREFUL! UNTIL NEXT TIME......

HELLO EVERYBODY!!

This is my 2nd post due to a little issue that i was having with my original post. So sat. august 16th i went to a party that was themed lime green and yellow. So i did my make-up using MAC of course. I used brassy fluid line as a base, amber lights on my lid, brun and carbon in my crease with #6 lashes. I saw on maccosmetics.com the new autumn winter trends and 1 look was under seventease called gold mined. So i copied the look as much as i could but i didnt have golden lemon pigment. So i hope you enjoy!
